Dr.  Wim Tigges gives a talk on the brilliant fictional detective character Sherlock Holmes, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and his place within the history of the English detective novel. The event will be concluded by the performance of a characteristic passage from ‘The Blue Carbuncle’, played by  Freek Bouricius and Simme van de Lustgraaf (Mayflower Theatre Company)
