From September 4 to 6, Mayflower Bookshop hosts a Pride Book Fair in the Catharinasteeg during the Leiden Canal Parade. Visitors can browse a selection of LGBTQ+ classics and new books by and for the queer community, in both English and Dutch.

The book fair is a collaboration with De Queer Boekenkast from Alkmaar and offers a great opportunity to combine a visit to the Canal Parade with a dive into the world of queer literature. The selection includes novels, non-fiction and other LGBTQ+ titles.

Queer Book Club

During the book fair, a new queer book club will also be launched. Anyone interested in reading and discussing queer literature together can sign up for the book club during the Pride Book Fair. The first meeting will take place in October.
