In the context of the Dutch Boekenweek (which actually lasts 10 days!), Mayflower Bookshop organizes two special Dutch events, relating to the theme of this week: Homage to first love!
On Sunday April 10th, at the start of the week, Mayflower Bookshop hosts a bookpresentation of the book ‘ Hartstocht achter de horren’ by Mayflower Bookshop frequent guest-lecturer dr. Wim Tigges. Dr. Tigges will give a short talk on his book, followed by a live interview, in which Mayflower Bookshop’s Freek Bouricius will seek answers from him about his book, not forgetting the ‘homage to first love’ theme!
The event will be followed by a book signing, so don’t miss your chance of acquiring a signed copy of this intriguing book!
On Monday April 18th, the book presentation of ‘ De Bezoeker’, the latest volume of verse published by regular guest-lecturer and poet Leo van Zanen ends the Boekenweek. Leo will be interviewed by his lifelong friend, communications consultant and poetry lover Louis Smit. Louis will interview Leo on all aspects of his poetry, not forgetting the translations Leo has also carried out, and seeking the answer to who or what was Leo’s first love! Can you guess?
After the interview, Leo will sign his book for you, so don’t miss the opportunity of obtaining a signed copy of this unique volume of verse!
